Starting Off

It's the last day of 2008, and I find that so many people are in the habit of using this day to reflect on the year that has past. I can understand that - and have certainly done it myself in previous years...but for some reason this year feels different. Maybe it's the 4 weeks I spent sick in December that gave me too much time to think about myself. Maybe it's the feeling that 2008 was spent paying rent and little else. But hey, we're 25 and 2009 feels like a ton of good changes on the horizon.

First up? Why, this blog!

Many of our friends all over the country have been keeping us up to date by blogging about their lives. Jennie and her travels, Erik and all his wackiness - even my boss. And though I've had my political leanings out there since 2005 we haven't really had a way to keep everyone up on our lives. There's going to be a lot going on in the coming year and we thought this would be a good way to share it with everyone. (You can thank John for the title).

Other big things we expect this year:
  • John's graduation from Yale and first post-Masters J-O-B
  • We just learned Adam will be graduating from Sterling in May, which is awesome
  • My first big screen appearance will be showing nation wide in just a few weeks - I'll be heading to NYC today to take a sneak peek (extras work is still work, right?)
  • I'll be in my first musical since high school at the Yale Cabaret in January - rehearsals start next week
There are a few other things peaking over the horizon - but nothing set in stone yet so we'll save them until they're more concrete.

In other news - we bought the band kit for Guitar Hero yesterday and have spent much of our free time jamming out. John's awesome at the Wii Guitar, and I'm getting good on the drums. I've got a little cold, so not to much on the singing at the moment.

I'm heading to NYC for the New Year and John will be playing D&D with a few friends - we wont be together at midnight, but we'll both be having fun!
